Silicon Valley Tech Hub

Silicon Valley is a place in San Francisco, America. This place is famous because many popular tech companies like Google, Facebook, Hp, Oracle, etc. have got started from Silicon valley. America is a well-developed country and places like new york, Washington D.C, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Nevada, etc. So have you had ever wondered why these tech companies choose this place named silicon valley to start their company? Why did they didn't choose any other place?


There are several reasons why Silicon Valley is known as Tech Hub. Here are some of them:

1. Cost of land is less expensive:

Silicon valley initially was a place where there were farms, trees, and where fruits and vegetables used to grow. After the second world war, people and soldiers came to settle here and live here. We all know that cities like Boston, New York, etc are pretty congested, and to place servers, data centers, headquarters, and tech parks was very difficult as compared to silicon valley.

2. Stanford University:

This is the major reason why Silicon Valley is known as a tech hub as Stanford University use to provide loans to help to build startups. Many people have started their company by taking loans from Stanford University. One such example is xerox alto. This is the world's first supercomputer and the best part is the os which it was running was also made in Silicon Valley.

Did you know: Mac computers were an inspiration from Xerox Alto. In other words, all modern computer operating systems whether Windows or Mac, or Linux was an inspiration from the xerox alto supercomputer.

Many people use to study at Stanford University and after their college, they had taken a loan to start their own company. The biggest example is HP. It was founded by William R. Hewlett and David Packard in the garage on 1st January 1938.

Did you know: The name of Company HP was decided by a coin toss in which Hewlett won the toss and his initial was first written on company name as H and then P. Imagine if David Packard had won the toss then today the company's name would have been PH.

3. Majority of Indians:

In Silicon Valley, there are many Indians whether software engineer, hardware engineer, or any expert in the tech category is living and working.

4. One of the best educational institutions across the world: 

The education system is well developed by the government. That's the reason why all the like-minded people and entrepreneur start their startups here in silicon valley.

5. Computer chipsets:

Since Intel was also founded in silicon valley you will get to see many computer chipsets and processors are made here in silicon valley. Silicon is one of the major components of any chipset which is installed on your computer. There are factories with huge square ft. which makes these chipsets.

Apart from there will be all more reasons which make silicon valley a tech hub. Take any company whether it is Google, Facebook, HP, Intel they all are from Silicon Valley, and because of their success this place is majorly famous for its contribution to the field of technology.
